Making California Count: 2030 Census State Launch
Census data informs the allocation of over $170 billion of federal funds to California. These funds support important programs such as Medi-Cal, housing, and food assistance programs. Census data also helps determine where to build hospitals, schools, roads, and other infrastructure. In addition, census data is responsible for drawing our districts influencing how California is represented in Congress. Now more than ever, ensuring California is counted accurately and fully is essential.
Decisions made today will impact how the census is funded, implemented, and completed. Philanthropy plays a crucial role and can engage in many different ways. Join us as we begin to plan how to make California count.
